What counts as ordinary business mail?

A lot of mail is ordinary business mail! Vendor invoices, paper statements for utilities and banking, cute drawings from the neighborhood kids’ lemonade stand you’re supporting. Junk mail too, technically, but don’t worry—we shred that for you.

Basically, as long as it isn’t service of process or a notice or reminder from the Secretary of State (both of which are received by your registered agent), it’s ordinary business mail.

You can use the address you receive with Mail Scanning Service as your principal business address and anywhere else it’s permitted on your company formation paperwork.

What if I exceed my mail scan limit?

If you exceed your mail in limit, we don’t stop scanning your mail, so you won’t lose any mail items. However, you will have to pay a small fee you any items that go over your limit. Call us if you’re getting more mail than you expected. It’s only $19/month for unlimited scans with our Virtual Office service.

Can I get my mail physically forwarded?

We can physically forward ordinary business mail for a small fee plus postage. You can request forwarding inside your online account.
